Today is All Saint’s Day but yesterday, October 31st, the Halloween Party in our office was a blast. I wasn’t really looking forward to it and just initially thought of pulling off a party-pooper look, but lady boss had done a good job at browbeating me. So yesterday after some grumbling and cramming – raiding my closet and all, I finally showed up in this outfit.
What am I dressed as? Hazard a guess, will ya?
P.S.
LJ The Orange Wit! Yes, you! As you were the one behind this ensemble, so then you are disqualified from guessing. This also goes for blogger friends on my Facebook.

Um. The feather must have given it away, but no.

I would have guessed Pocahontas. Otherwise … Not a clue, I’m afraid.

I knew it! It’s the FEATHER! But, but…I remember Pocahontas wearing one-shouldered doeskin.

You are so well travelled and have such a good memory! You must also be much older than I thought. She died in 1617, according to Wikipedia. May I say you are ageing remarkably well, Addie.

So creative, and with much thought. You’ve stumped me. Not Frida Kahlo, Hiawatha, nor Trinidad Tecson.
Addie said,

I don’t know jack about those women, but I think I could pass as Frida Kahlo. “I was born a bitch. I was born a painter.” Such a kick-ass!
Oh okay, and Hiawatha, too. Feathers!
Tecson? I must have been absent one History class.

Frida’s a great one to choose as a role model.
I love her work.

I’m reading up on her.

Does it happen to be Tiger Lily from Peter Pan?
pretty costume!
Addie said,

Jenn! You know what if I had known who Tiger Lily was, I would have claimed to be her based on this outfit.

How the heck did you pull this awesome costume together by raiding your closet?! You must have a ton of stuff in your closet!
Addie said,

The sets of bangles and the pink feather (it’s actually a feather pen) I borrowed from my work friend. See my hair accessory? That’s actually the bridal garter I got from my friend’s wedding last May.

You just look like a native american squaw to me but as you’ve said no to Pocahontas I guess you can’t be. You look great though
Addie said,
November 5, 2012 at 7:54 PM
Thank you, Ken. I’m starting to be convinced I was indeed dressed as Pocahontas.

LOL! When are you going to put us out of our misery and tell us what you (erroneously) thought you went dressed as?!

I’ve had another idea. Mata Hari?
Also, I have now discovered and looked at the other pics. Again with the apples, I see.

Haha. My bad. The feather was not included in your suggested list of items and pieces of clothing.
LJ said,
November 6, 2012 at 1:44 PM
Haha. No worries, your costume doesn’t really show up much on costume parties.
Pocahontas doesn’t have any feather on her, right?

Pocahonyas? The feathers on the hair is a give-away, methinks
Addie said,
November 5, 2012 at 7:57 PM
I guess I’ll just have to be her, then. Haha.
